To me, Sky House is a symbol of protection and possibility. A house gives you somewhere to belong. The sky reminds you how much room there is to grow.
I’ve always seen the sky as a reflection of perspective. You can look at clouds and see the storm that’s holding you back. Or you can see ideas, potential and the light waiting on the other side.
That doesn’t mean the storm isn’t real. Some seasons are difficult. But I believe the sun will shine again, and that even the rain can clear away something we were ready to let go of.
When I talk about light and darkness, I’m talking about faith and fear. You can find both on the brightest day or the darkest night. For me, faith is choosing to believe there is purpose in the journey, even when I can’t see the whole picture yet.
I believe God gave us creativity for a reason. Sky House is my way of honoring that gift: a house for God’s creativity, expressed through different people, different stories and different work.
My hope is that we can be vessels of the Creator’s love and light in the way we serve. Every person who walks through our doors brings a journey of their own. Every cloud, every storm and every new beginning has helped shape what they have to share.
